How do you get the most from your first Superhero PowerHour?

Sheena Whyatt·3 August 2018

The Superhero PowerHour is a great way to get started with KAPOW! – just 60 minutes with me can get you on the right track to developing a strong personal brand, making the most of networking to achieve it, and fine tuning how you plan to move forward.

But how do you get the most of it? First of all, let me explain how it works.

PowerHours are delivered online, which is great for you as you don’t need to take more time out of your business than you need to. You simply pick a time that suits you, make your payment and that’s it! Each session is recorded too, so you don’t have to get distracted with taking notes if you don’t want to. I, on the other hand, am taking notes like crazy in the background – helping me to ‘get inside your head’ and root out some knowledge bombs to hit you with as we go along.

After the call is over, I collate all those notes together and create an Action Plan for you to keep you on track or simply get you started. Take a look at what some recent PowerHour Superheroes thought about it:

These PowerHours can be ‘one offs’, but they are most effective when you do them more often – it gives you the accountability you need to make sure you are actually doing the things you said you were going to do!

You can have bespoke PowerHours, or follow the 12 steps of KAPOW! through the year.

But – how do you make the most of them, whether you have one or one every month (very popular option).

First thing is you need to prep before your first call. You need to take a little time to think about what you want to achieve from it – are you looking for a sounding board, advice, direction or a little of all three? Make sure you are clear on what you want to gain form it as it’s the first thing I’m going to ask you!

You also need to make sure you have no distractions, so you can really focus on our conversation – an hour might seem like a long time, but it will fly by – trust me, so make sure you can really imbed yourself in that sixty minutes.

The second thing is that you need to be prepared for some uncomfortable truths/questions. I’m going to ask you stuff to get you really thinking about your current brand – and some of that might be quite close to the mark. I’m going to ask you about your networking intro, where and why you network, what you want to get from that and give you some straight talking advice.

The third and most important thing about a PowerHour is what you do afterwards. I give you your personalised action plan, a link to the recording that you can access anytime, forever, and the option to book your next session.

The rest is up to you.
