What is a KAPOW! workshop actually like?

What is a KAPOW! workshop actually like?

I was busy networking last week in Norwich when someone I was having a ten minute appointment with asked me this question. What was being on a KAPOW! workshop actually like? And it occurred to me that it was a very good question indeed!

I only run four KAPOW! workshops each year - they are my premier face to face training event, and I hold them in Lincoln at the fabulous Doubletree by Hilton. I run other KAPOW! Academy courses like Finding Your Ideal Client, Getting Stuff Done, Speak Easy & stuff - but the proper, 100% KAPOW! stuff only happens four times a year. So they are pretty exclusive. But what are they actually like?

Pretty full on actually. I make it really clear that I can't create a personal brand for you in just one day, but that the KAPOW! workshop puts you on the right track to make that happen going forward. So what happens when you book your place and come along? You have some coursework to do before you come along just to get you thinking about your brand, your business and your current challenges. This forms a great starting point if you decide to take up a place on the KAPOW! Coaching Academy afterwards.

To begin with, we network over coffee etc to let everyone get to know each other. We talk about why you've booked on - what your objectives are for investing in the workshop. And then we get stuck in. There's no sitting back and not getting involved, and there's a lot of post it notes and flip charts involved! I begin by getting you to think about defining your personal brand - including who inspires you, and why they inspire you. Together with your group, we also talk about how you develop this brand - and you work on creating your Goal Setting Tree, including looking at where to find the low hanging fruit for your business to take quick steps forward and make some progress.

I work closely with Stefan Thomas, bestselling author of Business Networking for Dummies, and Instant Networking - and the founder of The Networking Retreat - and he also delivers a 60 minute masterclass in how to network your personal brand and instantly get more success from it.

We enjoy more structured networking through the day with my Let's Connect exercise, designed to identify opportunities and connections to get help for specific issues. And we complete the day by looking at how to deliver your brand - specific goal setting and accountability, and the next steps to take this forward.

Its intense.

Its invigorating.

Its eye opening.

Its liberating.

And it can be business changing.
