You know when you sit down to write a new post or email, and your brain just stares back at you blankly?
You think, "I’ve said this before... haven’t I?"
You have. And that’s actually a good thing.
Because here’s the quiet truth most people miss:
You don’t need more ideas — you just need to breathe new life into the ones you’ve already got.
You’re Not the Problem
The overwhelm isn’t about creativity. It’s about pressure.
You’ve created brilliant things — blogs, Lives, newsletters, Instagram posts that were so on point. But then what?
They got posted. And then they got forgotten.
So you start again. And again. And again.
No wonder your content feels cold. It’s not that it didn’t work — it’s that it was never given time to.
Things You’ve Probably Tried
- Creating on the fly because consistency matters (right?)
- Scrambling to post because it’s been "too long"
- Thinking you need to go viral to stay visible
And if you’re honest? You’re tired of performing.
Here’s What Shifts It
When you treat your content like it has a longer life — it starts to.
I talked about this recently at the Mums At Work Online Networking event – when I shared my tips on 5 Ways to Repurpose Your Content. Here’s a snapshot of what I talked about:
- Turn a blog into a carousel. Pull 3-5 key points and break them into a visual sequence.
- Clip a video into short snippets. One insight per clip.
- Update an old post with a fresh intro. New season, same core idea.
- Group related posts into a freebie - just like this one: Blog Smarter: 5 Steps to Making Your Content Go Further
- Use testimonials to spark stories. What did they say that others need to hear?
This isn’t about squeezing every drop. It’s about recognising that your voice matters enough to be heard more than once.
So Where Do You Start?
If you’ve got a back catalogue of content (or even just one solid piece) — there’s gold in there.
This is just one of the things we can do together in my monthly coworking event - Content Creation Club. It’s a great opportunity to not just talk about ideas, but actually use them. You can give your content a second (and third) life so you don’t have to keep starting from zero.
