I love coaching. Seriously I do. I wish I could coach every single business owner I meet - but sadly, a superpower I haven't managed to nail down yet is being able to clone myself.
Having to adapt to an online business world over the past 11 months has been a challenge and pushed me to think outside of my comfort zone, which has been both a joy and slightly terrifying at the same time. All my 1-2-1 coaching sessions have always been online, so that was a lucky break which meant I didn't need to change that part of my business, but the rest of it came to a halt and I had to have a rethink. One of the things I was mulling over was this regular idea from people that being in lockdown meant we suddenly, magically, had more time to do stuff. Except of course we didn't. Enrollments in online training courses went up, and if your facebook timeline was anything like mine, you were inundated with unmissable bargains that would normally cost you $597 but amazingly today would only cost $27, would change your business overnight and make your mailing list explode/website earn you millions/content creation done with two clicks. Which, of course, is bollocks. But it got me thinking.
I've been working for myself for over 20 years and have a massive amount of knowledge and expertise to pass on - business coaching isn’t just about growing your personal brand & controlling what people say about you when you are not in the room, it’s also about growing your skills so you can take your business to the next level. But I know from experience that you don’t always have time to book into online courses or workshops, and when you do, get frustrated about time limited content and endless upselling of stuff you don’t want.
